TURAIS TOURS

Turais is a new and exciting social economy tourism initiative launched in Belfast by members of the republican ex prisoner community.

We provide top quality guided tours at low cost prices. Our professionally trained guides offer a glimpse into the social, cultural, economic and political identity of an ever changing city and much more besides.

Turais political tour guides have been taking tours of Belfast for many years now including, Long Kesh prison, Milltown cemetery, and republican gardens of remembrance, Irish History Museums, the Belfast Hills and the world famous murals tours of the Falls Road.

We now also provide bus tours of The Mourne Mountains and The Gaeltacht areas of the west of Ireland.

All tours are provided in Irish, Basque, French, Spanish and English.

Our tour guides come from the republican political ex-prisoner community and have an in depth and personal knowledge of the British-Irish conflict and how it has shaped Irish society.
